I actually discovered the Sennheiser RS 140 cans at my brother in law's house. He is a bit of an audiophile, and he recently added the RS 140 wireless headphones, to his already extensive collection.

I was intrigued by them because I am definitely NOT an audiophile, and I didn't even know that wireless headphones existed. He let me try them on, and I must say they are quite comfortable. They are also fairly "stylish", and attractive as well. The last pair of headphones I owned was back in college 27 years ago.

They were a Sony model, and were rather bulky and uncomfortable. At the time, I thought they were rather "cool", but now I realize that I looked like a B-29 bomber pilot when I had them on. When I looked at the Sennheiser RS 140, it was obvious to me that headphone technology had come a long way!

Because he could tell I was interested, my brother in law (Ron), let me wear them while watching t.v. The sound quality was superb, regardless of what I listened to. or what station I was on.

I also noticed that The Sennheiser RS 140 wireless headphones blocked out almost all of the outside noise. Ron explained to me that the Sennheiser RS 140 were "closed back" headphones, and that is why they drastically reduce ambient sounds

The fact that they eliminate outside noise is definitely a benefit for me, as I have two young children. They are 4 and 7 years old. Just the right age to make ALOT of noise! Ron and my sister were having a conversation while I was watching the t.v., and I could not hear a word that they said!

Next, Ron let me listen to a variety of music from his extensive c.d. collection, while wearing the Sennheiser RS 140headphones. I swear he must have close to 500 compact discs from at least 200 different artists!

I am kind of a classic rock fan, so I listened to Stevie Ray Vaughn c.d.first. The Sennheiser RS 140 phones really brought out Tommie Shannon's driving bass, as well as the highs and lows of Stevie's legendary guitar riffs! It was like listening to him play his guitar while he is sitting right next to you!

About now, I am thinking that it might be a good time tobuy the RS 140
